Frequently Asked Questions
The treatment is very tolerable and often patients describe only mild discomfort like a mosquito bite.
At your consultation, Dr. Chao will work with you to identify your treatment areas and goals. After the consultation, you can choose to undergo treatment. The treatment takes about 20-30 minutes.
Some results can be seen as early as 2-3 days following treatment; however, the full results are typically seen after 2 weeks.
Downtime is minimal and may consist of mild redness and bruising at the treated areas which commonly resolves within the first several hours to days. We recommend avoiding the hot tub, sauna, steam room and alcohol for 24 hours after treatment and remaining upright for the first 4 hours but you can resume most regular activities immediately after treatment.
Results can be seen after one treatment but the results will not be permanent so we are happy to see you back for repeat treatments.
Neuromodulator effects are not permanent. Results typically last 3-4 months, after which the effects of botox are worn off. If you are happy with your results, we are happy to see you back for your next treatment.
Treatment is not covered by MSP. The cost of the treatment depends on the amount of neuromodulator needed to achieve your treatment goal. Book a consultation with Dr. Chao to learn more about the cost of the treatment.
